Ready
to Roll Fundraiser is HUGE Success!
Thanks to the tremendous support of donors, bidders, volunteers and friends - we met our goal and raised $150,000 at the Skatepark Ready to Roll Fundraiser!!
Of that figure, approximately $60,000 was
raised through the Raise Your Paddle Lot (Lucky
No. 13) - two thirds of that donated by Super
Star Skatepark Supporters - Vera Trinchero Torres and
Bob Torres and one anonymous donor. The
crowd burst into excitement when those three
paddles went up and everyone Got on Board and
joined suit.
Bidding on Live Lots was, well, lively - thanks to all of the donors and bidders. Many volunteers, including a large group of skaters, cooked, cleaned and organized making the event, simply tremendous. At least half of the 250 guests and volunteers stayed to dance to Wristrocket until midnight.
Thanks to the entire community's generosity and perserverance - St. Helena Skatepark should be open in July. We could not have done it without you.
